What was your childhood like?
It was a constant over-exposure to trash culture, TV, junk food, pornography.
Early fascination with cartoons, comicbooks, drawing, Famous Monsters of
Filmland, old monster & sci-fi flicks, MAD, any irreverent humor. .
. Typical juvenile delinquent activities any kid from my generation can
relate to and remember.
How did Trailer Trash come about?
I've been self-publishing my junk for years and years, and got tired of
that. So I put together this thing so I could get a regular book with a
real publisher so I could concentrate on drawing instead of fuckin' mailorder,
which really drains your time and energy. Doing it all through the mail
is kinda fun for a few years, but I've been doing this since 1985.
What other swell stuff do you do?
Well, I've been published in anthologies like Weirdo, Snake Eyes, Buzz,
Buzzard, Screw, etc etc over the years. I'm still doing that's when I have
the time. I've also been doing paintings and selling them. I do illustrations
regularly for magazines and newspapers since that stuff pays the bills so
I don't have to work a day job, so's I can be full time at Trailer Trash.
I do record covers too. My self pubs are still available, send me a stamp
for a price list.
Who are your heroes?
1. Don Knotts
2. Donny Osmond (Donald Clark Osmond)
3. Donald Trump
4. Chester Gould
5. Vincent Price

What are your ten favorite albums of all time
1. Donny Osmond: Disco Train
2. Isaac Hayes: Tough Guys
3. AC/DC: Let There Be Rock
4. Hawkwind: Space Ritual
5. A pile of late 50's hot rod magazines
6. A pile of late 60's porn mags
7. A paint-by-numbers set
8. Neurosurgical Instruments Cat. #702
9. IHOP
10. The Life Cycle Library
Why dontcha tell all the people readin' this fine publication just what
makes Texas so fuckin cool.
It's not cool, It's hot. Hell, it's late October and it was 89° here
yesterday. Ha ha! I don't know, is Texas really "so fuckin cool"?
Probably not, there's too many fascist fuck bastards everywhere, especially
in the small towns... no better than most places. There's some great natural
areas tho...
What do you think of Austin?
Austin is good because it's such a mish-mash of cultures, a little of everything.
Close to lots of good natural spots. Lots of friends here and the cost of
living isn't too high, it's the "liberal" spot in Texas to live
if you don't want to be told how to live your life.
So, just what exactly floats your perverse boat?
Cars I want:
1. '57 Chrysler 300
2. '59 Dodge Custom Royal
3. '60 Chevy Impala
4. '64 Chevy Impala
5. '57 DeSoto Fireflite
6. '62 Olds Starfire

Future Plans?
I'm going to do more paintings. I'm also working on some kind of a card
set. I'll keep Trailer Trash out quarterly and promote it as much as I can.
