Charles
and John S. Hancock have exhibited their own homespun brand of quaint art throughout
Texas and from sea to shining sea (New York, Boston, Arizona, etc... Over the
years, They have collaborated on many projects, including poetic diatribes,
live performances , and sound recordings. The Hancock Brothers are both graduates
of institutions of higher learning, receiving fine arts degrees in printmaking.
John currently teaches print techniques, methodology "and righteos blue-tinged
flame of art babble to young impressionable minds" at an unspecified central
Texas college. John is also a Taurus, he enjoys listening to records and talking
to friends on the phone. Charles, is of Amerasian descent (or Texanese, as he
is fond of stating), enjoys passing himself as a Mexican laborer from Vera Cruz
under the pseudonym "EL PELON", for his bald and shiny pate. Charles is a Sagittarius
and has a fondness for very old cheeses.
